Paul Lambert, a UEFA Champions League winner with Borussia Dortmund in 1997, was presented with his award by former Celtic team mate Tom Boyd. Lambert played with St Mirren (where he lifted the Scottish Cup as a teenager in 1987) and Motherwell before earning a big move to the German Bundesliga. He later came back to Scottish football where he would captain Celtic to the UEFA Cup Final in 2003 and would win four SPL titles, a further two Scottish Cups and two CIS Insurance Cups. Lambert played forty times for Scotland and appeared at the 1998 World Cup finals in France.
Mo Johnston was also inducted into the Hall of Fame having enjoyed a highly successful playing career. Johnston, a former Celtic striker, is still remembered for controversially choosing to move to Rangers in 1989 after having originally promised to return to arch rivals Celtic. Mo, who also had spells with Partick Thistle, Watford, Nantes, Everton, Hearts and Falkirk, played 38 times for Scotland scoring 14 times.
Presenting Mo with his award was his former Rangers manager and team mate Graeme Souness. The Liverpool and Scotland legend was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the inaugural year of 2004 and was delighted to receive his award, having been unable to appear at the original ceremony.
