Exhibitions at the Scottish Football Museum
Alongside the permanent exhibits the Scottish Football Museum runs an exciting programme of special exhibitions.
These themed exhibitions are inspired by the museum’s collections but often include objects from all over Scotland and beyond, offering unique chances to see some incredible items. The exhibitions are designed to draw attention to specific subjects, events, people or places; such as the Scottish Cup and Women’s Football, and help tell Scotland’s Footballing story.
The Clubs Gallery in association with Scottish Power
From Celtic to Cowdenbeath and from Albion Rovers to Aberdeen, the Club's Gallery, within the Scottish Football Museum, provides a dedicated place for all 42 senior football clubs registered with the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. A shirt from each club is proudly displayed within the exhibition space accompanied with a brief history including notable milestones. Record crowds, record victories and notable trophy successes from years gone by will provide a touch of nostalgia to the supporters of each club.
Collectors Corner - Feb 2012 - June 2012
Football memorabilia comes in all shapes and sizes, from pin badges and match tickets to football shirts and commemorative plates. Collectors Corner opens up the museum collection, exhibiting highly decorative and collectable pieces of memorabilia alongside our more unusual items. On show are Scottish club blazer badges from Norway, Royal Mail stamp designs depicting Scotland as World Cup Winners in 1978 and a large wall of pennants featuring countries that have played against Scotland. If you have an interest in football cigarette cards or programmes then Collectors Corner is a must for you to see!
