Football For All

Local Heritage Grants

The Local Heritage Grants have been made possible with the support of the players of The National Lottery and The Heritage Fund.

The Football For All project will culminate with a series of local projects in different parts of Scotland to mark the 200th anniversary of the oldest documented football club in the world - The Foot-Ball Club, Edinburgh.

Local Heritage Grants of up to £1,500 will be available to help communities in Scotland celebrate their local football heritage, engaging new and different audiences with football history.

Groups could research, highlight, and celebrate local football heritage through a range of activities which could include photographic displays, plays, musicals, heritage trails, digital projects, learning and engagement and more.

A total of 15 grants will be made available and can be applied for by any group or organisation in Scotland with a formal constitution.

Applications open on May 29th 2024 and must be submitted by 5pm on September 30th 2024. Awards will be announced on 31st October 2024. Projects must be completed between February - August 2025.
