New Exhibition – The First Ladies of Football

Shona Robison MSP, Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport, will open The First Ladies of Football Exhibition at the Scottish Football Museum.

The Scottish Football Museum based in Hampden Park is hosting a wonderful exhibition of oil paintings charting the growth of women’s football in the last 130 years.

The display has been created by artist Stuart Gibbs and commemorates many unsung heroes connected to the women’s game in Scotland from the first international match of 1881 to the success of Glasgow City in reaching the last 16 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2011.
