Specsavers looks for the opinions of Football Memories as they seek to narrow down Scotland’s greatest XI
As a part of the partnership between Football Memories, Specsavers and the Scottish FA, Football Memories groups and attendees around the country are being asked to compile the greatest Scotland XI.
With the national men's team recently made history by making it to the USA, Mexico and Canada next year, there is a World Cup theme to this fun challenge! Scotland were last at a World Cup in 1998, so the date range for selecting the greatest XI is the post-war era from1945 up until 1998.
Listed below is a range of players in every position and from across the eras of our national team, simply select your favourites and email them to ScotlandBest11@tigerbond.com to be in with the chance of winning an official Scotland World Cup 26 tee-shirt and a signed SWNT squad shirt. There are also some runners up prizes of passes to the Scottish Football Museum and Hampden Park Stadium tour.
The most popular choices, to be deemed 'the greatest XI; will be revealed in March 2026 as Scotland prepare to start a new World Cup adventure for the first time in 28 years.
Good luck, happy reminiscing and enjoy picking your team.
